*New Product* GU10 LED Bulbs 50W Halogen Equivalent

Summary
We aim is to provide the most energy efficient replacements for traditional lighting with zero compromise on quality or functionality.  Our GU10 LED bulbs are therefore a standard size and a direct replacement for your existing 50W Halogen bulbs. Although they may initially be more expensive to purchase than a standard bulb, the benefits very quickly offset the purchase costs.

Our bulbs have a life expectancy of up to 50,000 hours compared to the standard halogen which gives only 2000 hours. If left on for 8 hours a day 2,000 hours equates to only 249 days and in many cases a halogen replacement is needed much sooner. In comparison 50,000 hours equates to over 17 years.

Each 4.5W SMD (Surface Mounted Device) bulb features 24 individual Epistar 2835 SMD LEDs that are protected with a unique plastic cover that assists in diffusion. These latest SMD chips produces a combined a light output of 460 lumens which is equivalent to a 55 -60 watt halogen bulb. These are one of the brightest gu10 bulbs currently available and brighter than the traditional 50W halogen bulb. These LED bulbs have also been designed with a 60 degree beam angle that is closer to the traditional halogen and ideal for rooms where light should be spread evenly. (Kitchens, living rooms, bathrooms, retail premises)

These bulbs are one of the most efficient available working at only 4.5 watts, and although the bulbs appear to be very similar, many competitors’ bulbs only manage to produce 320 lumens or less at this wattage. There is the potential to reduce your lighting electricity consumption by over 90%. Due to the efficiency of the product and our pricing structure it has enabled our customers to experience a very short payback period, typically less than 6 months based on a usage of 8 hours per day. A higher usage would shorten the payback.

By making this investment you are the saving on electricity, and replacement costs whilst reducing your carbon footprint year after year. Please see our cost saving example.

These bulbs are available in Cool White and Warm White.

Warm White is an ideal match to traditional Halogen 50W bulbs and produces a more warm yellow light with a colour temperature 2700K.

Cool White produces a very white light with a slight blue tint often used in commercial environments or to create a very modern look with a colour temperature of 6500K

Please look at the video for this product to see the comparison between a traditional halogen and our product.

We guarantee that you will not be disappointed with the quality of the product.

Purchased these and am pleased. They are slightly longer than my old halogens but as they are installed in the ceiling fittings it is fine. The actual led chips are not visible like other bulbs as they are protected by a cover which is quite nice. the warm white colour option is almost identical and they are quite a bit brighter than my 50 Watts.

Great Product - Thanks GU10 History The gu10 fitting is one of the most popular bulb fittings in the UK. In recent years the halogen spotlight has become the number one choice for current homes, new builds and commercial premises such as restaurants, pubs, gyms and shops. The standard 50W halogen only has a life of around 2000 hours meaning that they need to be replace 2-3 times a year. However due to the quantity demanded the purchase cost has become much cheaper and this has not been seen as a major expense. Over the last few years both households and business owners have experienced rising energy prices which is a hidden cost for most of us, as the bills only contain information on the usage as a whole, not showing the breakdown of the consumption by appliance or item. LED lighting technology has advanced rapidly which has enabled a genuine equivalent to the traditional halogen to be brought to the market at a price that is affordable to the average home owner. LED lighting typically uses 90% less energy than a normal light bulb. The average life of the products are 50000 hours which equates to over 17 years if used for 8 hours per day.
