These dimmable GU10 bulbs use latest bluetooth technology to allow you control your bulbs from a smart device such as a phone or tablet. These smart dimmable LED gu10 bulbs have an average life expectancy of up to 25,000 hours compared to the standard halogen which gives only 2000 hours. If left on for 8 hours a day 2,000 hours equates to only 249 days and in many cases a halogen replacement is needed much sooner. In comparison 50,000 hours equates to over 17 years.


What is INGENIUM® BLU?

INGENIUM® BLU is a brand new series of Bluetooth enabled LED lamps which use Bluetooth technology to connect to and control lighting fixtures in homes and commercial spaces. With the INGENIUM® BLU Solution’s integrated Bluetooth technology you can enjoy the benefits of smart lighting with instant and easy set-up.

The upgraded INGENIUM® BLU Generation 2 system applies Bluetooth 4.1 technology and uses a mesh network topology – a key network architecture that extends the coverage area several times wider than before and allows for the control of substantially more lamps – all while using less of your smart device’s battery power. Giving users simultaneous control of up to 8 times more lamps or devices (64) than with its first generation products, the upgraded INGENIUM® BLU system also boasts improved dimming performance with a range of 100%-5%.



Operating Characteristics for Ingenium Blu to achieve best performance - Please note the lamps need a power supply to energise the Bluetooth connection, this means the wall switch needs to be a standard wall switch not a dimmer. A dimmer keeps some of the current in its circuit and if turned off will not allow enough power to activate the lamp. The best set up is a standard wall switch and leave it turned on, then install the Ingenium blu lamps and use the app to connect to them and dim or control.
