The LED lamps within the range use Bluetooth technology to connect to and control lighting fixtures in your home or commercial spaces. This has advantages over wifi technology as this allows control direct from your bluetooth enabled device such as a smart phone, tablet or laptop. Wifi smart devices usually need an existing wifi network and a seperate wifi contoller box to connect between the lighting the network and the contoller. This product is equivalent to an traditional 60W halogen or incandesanct bulb and fits into an existing bayonet b22 light fitting. The bulb can be dimmed using your choosen bluetooth device without the need for a dimmer switch. Please see the video below for an introduction to this SMART bulb Important Additional Information Operating Characteristics for Ingenium Blu to achieve best performance - Please note the lamps need a power supply to energise the Bluetooth connection, this means the wall switch needs to be a standard wall switch not a dimmer. A dimmer keeps some of the current in its circuit and if turned off will not allow enough power to activate the lamp. However these required a separate WiFi box or controller. This bulb is great as you only need Bluetooth on your phone. It can be programmed to come on and off when you want. It can be easily dimmed. Only given 4 stars as it only comes in warm white compared to others with multi colors.
